The Clinical Manager Assistant maintains a comprehensive working knowledge to assist in training new clinical staff, and to serve as a resource for field staff. Completes new employee orientation for clinical staff; Provides coding and OASIS support to admitting clinicians; Complies with organization’s policies and procedures; Determines scope and frequency of services needed based on acuity and patient and family/caregiver needs; Provides direct patient care as staffing requires; Ensures the consistent availability of all care/services offered by the agency; Assesses the ability of the caregiver to meet the patient’s immediate needs upon admission and throughout care; Completes monthly chart audits of 10% of patient census; Utilizes case management approach and referring to other services as needed; Coordinates regular in-service training for clinical staff; Applies specific criteria for admission and re-certification to home health to establish appropriate levels of care and the patient’s eligibility; Maintains proficiency with the agency’s electronic medical record; Recommends and arranges for resources needed to provide care/services; Manages and coordinates the provision of quality home health services to patients from admission to discharge.
